About Andrew Sidebottom
Originally from Barnsley in South Yorkshire, Andrew's early career was spent as an Industrial Engineer, with a focus on Productivity, Efficiency & Work Design. In this capacity he worked in various parts of the country with both UK and American organisations. In 1988, he returned to full-time education, graduating from The University of Hull in 1992 with a BSc (Hons) Degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology with Occupational Psychology. He took on the role of UK Consultant Psychologist for an Australian Human Resource Consultancy, before launching the current business in 1994.
Areas of special interest in Psychology include: The application of psychometric techniques to the selection, assessment and development of people at work, including Personnel Selection, Team Building, Vocational Guidance / Careers Counselling, Succession Planning, Training Needs, Assessment Centre Design, etc..
He is 46 years old, and married with three children (two daughters aged 11 and 13, and a son aged 24). His favourite pastimes include walking the dog and trying to get out of doing DIY projects (preferably simultaneously). He loves to play snooker, table tennis and cricket, but claims that time prevents him from practising. He is a qualified and experienced Life Coach and Hypnotherapist.
